Hope you enjoyed the B&B gig Dave! I'm also a big fan of these twee, sensitive Celtic dillitantes and would recommend all theํr albums unreservedly...almost on the packaging alone actually...but the music is class too! Last two albums have seen a marked change in direction from grubby tales of adolescent whimsy and lugubrious indie torchsongs to a much more poppy, almost neo-60's chorus driven sound. 'Dear Catastrophe Waitress' and 'The Life Pursuit' are essential classics that grow and excite with repeated listens...and every bit as good as the likes of 'Tigermilk' and 'If You're Felling Sinister'. The lyrics are ever are spot on too. So get stuck in your Pye Blog afficiandos...or do I have to come over the pond to beat some musical sense into you!!!!???
