Thanks for the nice comments and feedback . . . and I certainly appreciate the link.

We’ll have to stop this though, or this will turn into “The Sammy Maudlin Show”.

I mentioned your post and blog on the SCTV newsgroup (alt.tv.sctv) and I will make sure to return the favor and link you where ever possible as there hasn’t been many fan reviews, and also relatively few straight media reviews, of the benefit.

Only big disappointment for me was Eugene not being at the after show bash. I have in my possession an autographed photo of Sandler and Young (yes the real ones – got it on Ebay for $3 plus postage). I stumbled on it while looking up some SCTV reference and bought it as a joke saying to myself “ha, maybe one day I can get Martin and Eugene to sign it as well”. Half way there then – Martin signed it. A mid year resolution then.

I’ve been meaning to do one of my own, linked to my Edmonton SCTV Locations website but just haven’t had the time yet. I hope it is a least somewhere near as good as yours (If I get to it!). I’m still waiting on a picture trade with my friend from London, UK who flew in. I came in from Edmonton, AB.

We sat right behind Andrew Alexander and Pat Whitley, and the two bald staff photogs where directly behind us. They took proper pics of us as well . . . later at the reception in several poses – but how do I get a hold of those!!!

My favorite part of the reception was a lengthy chat with Catherine O’Hara. She was most gracious and giving of her time and it wasn’t just a fan greet. She was pleasant and comfortable enough to have a real, if somewhat brief talk with me (about ‘For you consideration’, etc. etc.). Along with the autograph and pic posing . . . she won my heart forever. If she didn’t have it already

A total class act that dame is I tells ya!
