I was just taking a stroll through OPRAH's
Spirit Archives which was long overdue. I
usually like
to visit this area of her site before bed then
light a
few
aromatherapy candles and think about her little
pieces of wisdom (like a little treasure that
only I can
discover everyday). I reflect on the day and reaffirm
my own personal beauty. Sometimes I will doze
off
while reading one of Oprah's books of the month
(sometimes a Danielle Steele) if I power- walked
that morning, then I might only get through one
page! I have to give credit were it is due...I
never
read for recreation until Oprah started her book
club,
now I feel like a regular academic. This is also
when
Steven (my wonderful husband) have "sharing
time"
- we listen to eachother's needs and emotions
. You can really say that you care about someone
by just
saying "how was your day?" Even if we
decide to
watch our favorite movie together "Beaches,"
we
can still communicate our tenderness through holding
each other, caressing and nuzzles. Out of all
the
wonderful things Oprah has done, her show has
had
the biggest impact on my life. I have become a
better person by watching her take a stand on
issues
. . .she lets me know it's ok to be strong and
opinionated. She is the King oops I mean Queen
of
one-liners! ohhhh shooooot she is a comedian.
